According to a report by Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium, the experienced big man Enes Kanter will return to the Boston Celtics with a one-year contract.
Kanter averaged 11.2 points and 11.0 rebounds in 72 games with the Portland Trail Blazers last season; as part of the pay cut, he was traded to the offseason by the Celtics.
In 58 games with the Celtics, Kanter averaged 8.1 points and 7.4 rebounds per game.
Kanter quickly became a favorite of Boston fans because of his vibrant personality and social activities in the community.
Soon after it was reported that Kanter planned to sign with the Celtics, Kanter posted a photo on his old jersey with the title “Green Bleeding”.
As a member of the Celtics, Kanter has limited playing time.
This may not change in the upcoming season. Because Kanter will almost certainly rank behind Al Horford and Robert Williams III on the depth chart.
But it is undeniable that this is a good signing for the Celtics, who lacked the depth of a big man after trading Tristan Thompson and Moses Brown.
