According to Marc Stein of the New York Times, experienced free agent Amir Johnson has emerged as a destination for the Brooklyn Nets.
The networks have been looking for a great man since losing DeAndre Jordan and Nicolas Claxton to restart the season.
Johnson has not played in the NBA this season.
The 33-year-old played 51 games for the Philadelphia 76ers last season and scored an average of 3.9 points and 2.9 rebounds in 10.4 minutes per game.
If the networks ultimately do a deal with Johnson, it will be a residual wage contract that would make him an unrestricted free agent this season.
