Austin Rivers of Rockets says he has his own “home advantage” in Orlando
The Houston Rockets will continue to play along with another 21 NBA teams in Orlando, all of which are away from home.
But things can be a little different for the Houston Rockets Guard Austin Rivers. In particular, in his recent Zoom session with the media on Friday, Rivers jokingly admitted that no NBA player has more experience than he has in Disney World.
According to USA today::
The NBA goes to Disney World. I mean, think about how crazy this sentence is. We have set up all practice sites in convention centers and in the Wide World of Sports.
By the way, nobody played in these places more than I did. I don’t know any player in the NBA who has scored more points in The Milk House or the Wide World of Sports. I grew up in Orlando, so this is a real home advantage for me, to be honest.
Austin’s father Doc Rivers trained the Orlando Magic from 1999 to 2004, which means Austin grew up in the region.
