Bam Adebayo & Kendrick Nunn return to training in Miami Heat
Miami Heat starters Bam Adebayo and Kendrick Nunn could be involved in the team’s fight against Utah Jazz on Saturday after they both returned to training after being quarantined in the NBA’s Orlando bubble.
The players did not make the short trip with the team for unknown reasons, but by ESPNhave confirmed that they have tested positive for COVID-19. The publication reports that Adebayo claimed to be largely asymptomatic, while Nunn said he had symptoms similar to colds. they both returned to their teammates this week.
“I was pretty well all the time,” said Adebayo. “It’s a crazy thing because someone could be asymptomatic and then the next person – you don’t know what it could do with their bodies.”
Head coach Erik Spoelstra said the couple could play in the two remaining games in Miami and be ready for the start of regular season games.
“You have the feeling that you have been on the road long enough,” Spoelstra was quoted as saying. “So they basically ignored me and jumped on the pitch whenever they could. But it was great to have everyone out there – and when you practice, you can imagine how much spirit the guys brought with them. After 10 exercises, this was our 11th, it was just a perfect time for that kind of energy and spirit from these two guys. “
