Three pointers are the be-all and end-all of the NBA these days. Players like Stephen Curry and James Harden have broken records with their ability to shoot the three. Ben McLemore hasn’t tried a middle distance shot this season.

It is not unlikely that he will be the only player not to attempt a three-point shot in the next few years. Role players like McLemore are encouraged to hit threesomes instead of offending themselves.

The medium-range shot is used more for star players who want to create their own offensive and take clutch shots. The NBA will continue to develop in the coming years. We’ll see where the three-pointer will go in the future.
