Blazer’s CJ McCollum believes basketball is secondary to the NBA restart
CJ McCollum believes basketball is secondary when the NBA restarts this week.
The Portland Trail Blazers superstar said that while basketball is his job, it ranks second in the United States due to the corona virus and current social climate.
“It is our job. Of course we are responsible for fulfilling these obligations. But it is also our job to fulfill and protect our neighborhoods and to protect the people who look like us and come from places like us and not exactly have the same voices as we do.
I think that’s something that has kept us all busy. We were very proactive. And I, a person who attaches great importance to education and educational reform, continued to try to have these conversations with like-minded people, people who are interested in education.
We continue to find out how we can make a difference and make a difference. But there are people who are involved in prison reform. There are people involved in police reform and so many other things that are more in their alley.
We continue to try to hold these discussions and talks. And the biggest thing for us is education. You want to be informed about the topics you are talking about and really have a passion, and make sure that this is a focus for you individually, ”McCollum said David Aldridge from The Athletic.
