Bradley Beal did not want to participate in the restart of the NBA because the Washington Wizards are not a legitimate championship team.

This was said by his agent Mark Bartelstein during an interview with SiriusXM NBA Radio.

“If they were real championship candidates this year, there would have been a slightly different conversation.” It’s just that you have to measure risk and benefit.

I don’t want to diminish the options the wizards now have. This is a big moment for them. In order to reach the playoffs, a season would turn in which there would be a reconstruction in many ways. I don’t think anyone thought they had a chance to become a playoff team, ”said Bartelstein.

Beal has rejected the NBA restart, citing a shoulder injury.
