The Detroit Pistons announced that they had bought the NBA G League subsidiary of the Phoenix Suns, the Northern Arizona Suns.
The team gets a new name and moves to Detroit, where it will play in a new arena in 2021-2022, which is currently under construction at Wayne State University.

The Pistons currently belong to the “Hybrid” G League on Grand Rapids Drive in the 2020-2021 NBA G League season. after a team release.
The Drive plans to stay in its current location and as disconnected team.
