Boston Celtics two-way player Tremont Waters has been named NBA G League rookie of 2019-2020.
Waters played for the Maine Red Claws, the subsidiary of the Celtics G League.
In 36 games, he averaged 18.0 points, 3.2 rebounds, 7.3 assists and 1.9 steals per game.
Waters had 10 games with at least 20 points and seven assists, including a seasonal high of 33 points and seven assists in a 155-131 street win over the Greensboro Swarm.
The 22-year-old led the Red Claws to a record 28-14, good enough for third place in the Eastern Conference.
The former LSU Tiger was ranked 51st in the 2019 NBA Draft and has appeared in 10 games at the Celtics this season.
