Making a bold statement is not new to NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley, but his latest headline comment is what basketball fans around the world have been waiting to hear.
He claimed that Barkley boldly declared that the NBA will undoubtedly return to the end of the season, which is related to some insider information provided by his bosses at Turner Sports.
“We will make a decision next week,” Buckley said.
“I’m 100% sure we will participate in the game. I know my friends in Major League Baseball will participate in the game. I think the hockey league will participate.
“We are going to play basketball. It will be in Florida and Las Vegas, or just Florida.”
If the alliance does make its plan public and broadcast partners like TNT, this will not be a shock, because they will play an important role in the alliance’s return and need to be notified in advance.
NBA Commissioner Adam Silver and Michele Roberts, a member of the Association of Players, continue to communicate on the next steps to find the best course of action.
In addition, on Monday, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that NBPA is negotiating with the team and players to gather feedback on the proposed bubble league.
