Chris Bosh’s advice to Bam Adebayor: “Shoot. Shoot.”
Bam Adebayor is establishing himself as one of the top centers in the NBA. At the age of 24, he has entered an All-Star game and won the gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics this year.
Miami Heat legend Chris Bosh said that in order for Adebayor to reach the level of a superstar, he needs to expand his shooting ability and adapt to shooting from beyond the three-point line.
According to him, Adebayor has the conditions to be a good shooter. He just needs to work hard and make it part of the game so that other centers can’t just defend the paint to stop him.
pass through Anthony Jiang of the Miami Herald:
“Shoot it. That’s it. Shoot it. Shoot it. All he needs to do is shoot, I tell you. I’ve been in the league for 13 years, man, that didn’t mislead me. Shoot it. He has the ability to organize, He is selfless. He is a team player, which is great. But in order for him to get where he wants to go, he will have to shoot. I think he is not only capable. Once he proves he is a threat , Brook Lopez and DeAndre Jordan and all these big men, they can’t just play traffic police in the middle of the paint. He needs to come back, he needs to shoot until they defend him. That would be my suggestion.”
The Heat center averaged 18.7 points, 9 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game last season. He made only 8 three-pointers in the entire season, 2 of which were just one more than his rookie year in 2017-2018.
