“He wants to win a championship and is a smart player who knows you only have so many options. He’s pushed everyone to improve the organization, improve the roster, and honestly I’m looking forward to this journey with you Joel and Ben continue. “
With the Sixers having a disappointing 2019-2020 season with Simmons missing many games due to injury while Joel Embiid couldn’t keep up with Al Horford at the front of the team, Morey and the 76ers FO could be on their way to making serious changes make the squad before the 2020/21 season.
However, the veteran manager suggested a more patient approach to building a championship squad in Philadelphia.

“Morey stresses being patient with taking big steps to shake up the roster, and says that he’d rather increase his knowledge and understanding of how the roster works before going on anything drastic.
“If I come in and pretend I know exactly what the Sixers have to do on day one, it wouldn’t be a wise decision.”
