De’Aaron Fox is reportedly “happy” with staying in Sacramento, despite Ben Simmons rumors
De’Aaron Fox was part of the rumors suggesting the Sacramento Kings are interested in the Sixers’ disgruntled guard, Ben Simmons.
Despite willingness to act against an All-Star player, the Kings are not expected to act on Fox, who is reportedly happy with the situation in Sacramento, per Paolo Uggetti from Der Ringer.
“There are other semi-fascinating seizures like Portland, Golden State, or Sacramento; The latter has the shootout Simmons needs around him and could dangle De’Aaron Fox as a barter piece. But a league source said Fox was happy in Sacramento. And having a player who wants to stay can be too valuable for a small team like the Kings, ”wrote Uggeti.
Simmons has been the topic of conversation in the offseason since his appearance in the past playoffs, where he had little or no influence on the Philadelphia 76ers offensive.
He averaged just 11.9 points per game and shot 34.2 percent from the free-throw line during his last playoff run. On the flip side, despite Sacramento’s struggles, Fox is a different breed of player and top-notch security guard on the offensive.
He was not elite in defense, but he does not shy away from his duties on the offensive. Fox averaged a career high of 25.2 points with 7.2 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game.
