Today was Deron Williams’ last day on the Brooklyn Nets payroll when they finally paid the rest of his contract.
The networks have paid Williams about $ 15,000 a day for the past five years, which is about $ 5.5 million a year.
Williams, who played his last game for the Nets on May 1, 2015, had two years left for his five-year, $ 98 million contract, which he signed in 2012.
He reached a takeover agreement and was to receive $ 27.5 million from the remaining $ 43 million he owed.
The nets used the stretch determination to distribute his salary until this year.
