US President Donald Trump recently had a discussion with Tilman Fertitta, the owner of the Houston Rockets. That’s according to Bloomberg’s correspondent in the White House Justin Sink and New York Times writer Sopan Deb.
The conversation included the controversy sparked by Rocket’s GM Daryl Morey’s tweet about Hong Kong, which created difficult circumstances between the NBA and China and ultimately cost the league millions.
According to a transcript shared by Deb, Trump Fertitta asks if Morey is still working for him and suggests that he has to be very good at his work in order to keep it under the circumstances.
Deb also published parts of a conversation about the NBA season that may be resumed. The POTUS stated that it is not satisfied with the idea that some games will be played before the playoffs.
