Doc Rivers announced that he wanted to leave the Los Angeles Clippers just a few weeks after he was appointed team head coach in 2013.

Rivers wanted to part with the Clippers because of the then owner Donald Sterling. After all, he stayed on the team and has been the head coach ever since.

Rivers won 351 games in the regular season, making it the first in franchise history to become a coach. He also won 20 playoffs, which is also the first in franchise history.
