Houston Rockets’ Eric Gordon injured his left ankle while fighting the team against the Boston Celtics and received an X-ray on his ankle.
Gordon couldn’t put much of a strain on his foot and had to be helped off the pitch by his teammates after clumsily landing on the foot of Vincent Poirier of the Boston Celtics.
Shortly thereafter, the Rockets excluded Gordon from the rest of the game.

The Rockets’ first “seeding game” is July 31 against the Dallas Mavericks. Depending on the severity of the injury, Gordon could miss some time.
Gordon has played 34 games this season because he missed time after knee surgery earlier this season.
The 31-year-old scored an average of 14.5 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game.
