Former Sixers GM says there’s no way to get back to the NBA
Sam Hinkie only served four seasons as general manager and president of the Philadelphia 76ers, but left his mark by leading one of the most questionable NBA rebuilding projects of all time.
The man behind “The Process” in Philadelphia spoke about the possibility of returning to the NBA during his last appearance on “ESPN Daily” with Pablo Torre.
“Oh, zero,” said Hinkie, ” about RealGM. “Zero. I have turned this chapter for sure. This part of my life. I really like what I do now. I like to surround myself with people who think in a time frame that is often longer.
This is very comfortable with long feedback loops. They want to do the things that I do that rely on young people and watch them thrive. “
Hinkie now runs a venture capital firm and seems pretty happy to stay there.
