Frank Vogel reacts to Alex Caruso’s decisive defensive game against Celtics
The Los Angeles Lakers could hardly avoid losing three games when they scored a narrow one-point win against the Boston Celtics (96-95). Towards the end of the game, Alex Caruso made a crucial defensive play when he intercepted Boston’s quick break and prevented them from forming a simple basket that would have given the hosts the lead.
After the game, Lakers head coach Frank Vogel praised Caruso, who described his game as the best defensive game of the year. “One of the best defensive games of the year,” Vogel said per Dave McMenamin from ESPN.
The win keeps the Lakers (15-6) in third place in the Western Conference behind the Utah Jazz and the Clippers. Meanwhile, Boston is fifth in the east with 10 wins and 8 losses.
