After the team traveled to Florida for the IMG Academy in Bradenton for this season, two players from the Atlanta Dream Team tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. Earlier today, the team announced that center Kalani Brown had tested positive. The team’s statement on Glory Johnson:
After the team went to Florida, during the initial quarantine period, Atlanta Dream team forward Groly Johnson tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. Under the care of a doctor, she is in self-isolation on the property of IMG Academy. Johnson will miss the start of the 2020 season.
Johnson said: “About two weeks ago, I tested positive for COVID-19, even though I had tested negative several times before.” “Since then, I have been isolated outside the IMG Academy and in the quarantine area. I still Good, and no symptoms since the test was positive. During the quarantine period, I focused on self-care and rested for the upcoming season. I will be back on the court soon.”
Johnson’s safety and health are the top priority of the organization, and the team hopes that she will rejoin the active roster under safe conditions.
