GM Daryl Morey says Mike D’Antoni launched a new offensive for Houston Rockets in Orlando
The Houston Rockets will surprise their opponents, according to General Manager Daryl Morey.
In particular, Morey announced that head coach Mike D’Antoni has set up a new offensive plan without going into further details, of course.
(Per USA today)
“Ultimately, it’s about getting an efficient, big offense,” said Houston GM Daryl Morey said before the team training on Friday in the bubble. “We are already the second best offense, but I think we can improve it. We can easily be the first in the playoffs.”
Coach has started a new offensive that will be interesting. … I think Coach will still go into the main skills of our players. It’s more of a fold. As usual with Mike, simple things are very difficult to stop.
Until March the Rockets had the second best offensive rating with an average of 113.4 points per 100 possession before the season break.
Houston is the sixth seed of the truly competitive Western Conference with a record 40-24 and 4 games behind the second-placed Los Angeles Clippers.
