If the Knicks want to be a superstar, RJ Barrett can trade.
The New York Knicks hope to achieve the best results under the leadership of new President Leon Rose, because they will try to rebuild the team as soon as possible.
In the latest article of Bleacher ReportThey claim that if the New York Knicks decide to acquire a veteran, then RJ Barrett can trade.
According to the Bletcher report (Via Fadeway World):
“With the new team president Leon Rose taking over the front desk, the Knicks will patiently develop around Barrett, Mitchell Robinson and the seven first-round picks they have in the next four drafts Teams, or will they use these picks and players to chase an established star?
Speaking of trading stars, a front office member of the Knicks recently told Ian Begley of SNY, “This is our best way.”
Although some Knicks fans may consider Barrett unshakable, the Los Angeles Clippers took a similar move last summer and they traded point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to the Oklahoma City Thunder for Paul George’s transaction.“
They also abandoned the list of potential stars, and they may be available in the next few seasons for a variety of reasons.
“As an agent, Rose represents Carl Anthony Towns, Devin Booker and Joel Embiid, all of whom are currently on a lost or underperforming team. Bradley Beal, DeMar DeRozan, Zach LaVine , Jrue Holiday and Rudy Gobert will all be listed in the next few months or years.”
RJ Barrett must work hard to become a legitimate superstar and Knicks franchise player. Although he showed some signs of the player in his rookie season, the New York team couldn’t be as patient as he used to be to let him grow.
