Isiah Thomas made an interesting statement about his time as head coach of the Indiana Pacers.

Thomas has twice won an NBA championship and a member of the Hall of Fame, and spent three seasons with the Pacers (2000-2003).

“The three years were great coaching moments for me. I would say this boldly: I think if [Larry] Bird did not fire me, I think we will win the championship in the second year. I think we will beat the Pistons.

That’s my team, I should go,” Thomas told Heavy.comThrough Clutch point.

Thomas led the Pacers to the playoffs for three consecutive years, but was eliminated in the first round of all three.
