It’s been over a year since Jamal Crawford played his last NBA game. The 40-year-old security guard was supposed to find a new team soon after leaving the Phoenix Suns at the end of the 2018-2019 season. In April 2019, he scored an average of 31 points per game at the age of 39.
Despite many prominent NBA voices constantly reminding the teams of Crawford, his journey back to the league was long. The veteran guard recently signed a contract with the Brooklyn Nets. He revealed that the feeling was surreal.
“I really thought I was dreaming. It really felt like the next day, “It didn’t just happen, did it?” I was just very humble and thankful, ”Crawford said to Rachel Nichols from ESPN.
