Jan Vesely of Fenerbahce is the European Union MVP in January. The veteran center helped his club spend a fantastic month in the Europa League. The former European League champion showed the highest performance index rating in the league in six games in January, leading Fenerbahce to a 6-0 record and tied for eighth.

Fenerbahce was ranked 13th in the standings this month, but due to Jan Vesely’s outstanding performance this month, he and his teammates led the club to 8th.

In January, Wesley averaged 16.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.4 steals in six games. Wesley’s score in January was 38.3% higher than the 14 games before this season, and his performance index level jumped 56%. His 73.6% two-point shooting percentage and 100% free throw percentage mean that Vesely missed only 15 of 69 shots in January. While doing so, Wesley helped Fenerbahçe make his sixth consecutive appearance in the playoffs. Vesely will receive new awards in the upcoming home game.
