For the first time since the league closed, several Utah jazz players took part in voluntary, individual workouts in the team’s practice facility.

The training sessions complied with the regulations of the Utah Department of Health and the NBA.

The Jazz, along with the Atlanta Hawks, Cleveland Cavaliers, Denver Nuggets and Portland Trail Blazers, are among the first teams to open their doors to the practice facility.

“I think we are very excited about the opportunities to bring our players back safely here,” he said Dennis Lindsey, vice president of basketball. “Take the first small step towards returning to the game whenever this happens.”

Jazz Strength employees had performed video workouts in the past two months.

The team also provided the players with exercise bikes and some free weights to use at home.
