Jimmy Butler, the star of Miami Heat, plans to leave the back of his jersey blank when the NBA season starts again later this month. But per Tim Reynoldsthe all-star striker will most likely have to bear his name under the single player agreement.
The NBA and NBPA have agreed that players have certain approved social equality messages printed on the back of their shirts, and a number of players have announced the wording they will use. Jimmy Butler, however chose not to have anything there. Reynolds, citing sources, tweeted that Butler’s request to go without a name is unlikely to be honored.
