Josh Richardson agrees to a one-year contract extension with the Boston Celtics

Josh Richardson has agreed to renew his contract with the Boston Celtics for one year and will pay him $24 million in the next two years. Shams Charania.

Richardson was part of the deal that sent Moses Brown to the Boston Celtics. In addition, the Celtics took advantage of part of Gordon Hayward’s trade exception to bring the two to Boston.

After the Heat spent the first four seasons of his career, Richardson played for Philadelphia and Dallas, and finally played for the Celtics.

During the 2021-22 regular season, he averaged 12.3 points in 30 minutes per game in Dallas. He was eliminated at the end of the Mavericks rotation in the playoffs, scoring only 4.9 points in seven games.
