Declaration of the Atlanta Dream:
After the team went to Florida, during the initial isolation period, Kalani Brown of the Atlanta Dream Center tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. Under the care of a doctor, she is in self-isolation on the property of IMG Academy. Brown will miss the start of the 2020 season.
Brown said: “On Thursday, July 9th, four days after arriving at IMG, I was in the quarantine area to prepare for the WNBA game. I tested positive for COVID-19. “Although I feel better now, I have symptoms. But it is full of challenges, from headaches to sore throats, chills/trembling, body aches, muscle aches, fatigue, difficulty in taste and shortness of breath.
“I am still in isolation. Unfortunately, as I continue to fight this virus and hope to fully recover, I will be absent at the beginning of the season. I really look forward to my first season with the Atlanta Dream Team once I My health permits, I can’t wait to play with my teammates.”
Brown’s safety and health are the top priority of the organization, and the team hopes that she will rejoin the active list under the premise of safety.
Out of respect for privacy, Brown will not accept media interviews.
