Kyle Kuzma says he knows the wizards have high expectations of him
Kyle Kuzma is preparing for his debut season with the Washington Wizards after being traded by the Los Angeles Lakers.
Kuzma knows that the wizards have high expectations of him and is ready to step up and make the difference.
“When I come to this organization, [general manager] Tommy [Sheppard] said they have high expectations of me. I would like to withhold that.
This off-season I’ve done a really great job hammering my ball handling. I think last year at the Lakers I did a great job of showing myself and being a willing passerby, someone who can open up guys and get guys open eyes.
For me, adding a grip and a more consistent, stronger grip will really allow me to be a guy with a ball. Not only be a goalscorer and that kind of threat, be a threat to open up the guys.
Get Rui [Hachimura] open shots, get brad easier looks, help spencer [Dinwiddie] downhill, grow up [Daniel] Gafford pick and roll lobs; all of these things, it will help, “Kuzma said via NBC sports.
Kuzma, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Montrezl Harrell joined the Wizards in exchange for Russell Westbrook, who joined the Lakers.
