LaMelo Ball is said to want to be drafted by the New York Knicks, but the young Point Guard is one of the best prospects in the design. Another team could draw it before the Knicks have the chance.

The Knicks have the sixth worst record in the NBA and most of the bill designs have ball in the top three. New York needs some luck in the lottery to advance.

The Knicks also had a similar position to Steph Curry in the 2009 NBA draft. Curry and his father made sure the Golden State Warriors knew he wanted to go to the Knicks. The Warriors chose Curry anyway with the seventh selection of the 2009 NBA Draft. New York chose Jordan Hill as eighth.

Curry has led the warriors to three championships and has no intention of leaving them. Hill has only played 24 games with the Knicks and is now out of the NBA.

There were many rumors that the Knicks would draw curry in 2009, just as there are now many rumors that the Knicks will draw ball in a few months. As the Knicks learned back then, there are no guarantees when it comes to the lottery and NBA design.
