Lil Wayne released the popular single “Kobe Bryant” for the first time after Bryant performed well in Game 6 of the 2009 Western Conference Finals. Kobe Bryant scored 35 points, 10 assists and 6 rebounds, and eliminated the Nuggets in six games. This song shows Lil Wayne’s admiration for Kobe’s professional ethics, motivation and success. In addition, Wayne sat on the sidelines in an interview with the Lakers. He said: “He (Kobe) not only inspired the song, but also inspired my life.”

Earlier today at the B.E.T awards ceremony, Wayne added a verse to his single “Kobe Bryant” to praise the late Black Mamba. He mentioned how Kobe took care of everyone, and his “inner respect for Vanessa and the entire Mamba family.”
