Luka Mbach of the Rockets arrived delayed due to coronavirus
Newly signed Houston Rockets veteran Luke Mbach Mutter revealed that he tested positive for the coronavirus, which delayed his arrival in Orlando.
According to Jonathan Feigen of The Houston Chronicle, Mbah a Moute deals with “chills and body pain.”
“It’s very difficult. I am lucky to stand out from it,” Mbah a Moute said. “I pray for people in this situation. By the grace of the Lord, I passed it.”
The 33-year-old also mentioned that he was isolated in a hotel room.
“The biggest thing for me is that I am in a hotel room,” Mbah a Moute said. “So it is not easy. When you are at home, you will be different. …but I dealt with it in the hotel room.”
The 6-foot-8 forward is participating in practice, but once the “seed game” starts, he may not have playing time because the Rockets have already used the “small ball” lineup.
Head coach Mike D’Antoni said of Mbah a Moute’s game time: “It will be tough. There is no doubt about it.” “Actually, if there is no one Injured and everyone’s game is good, I don’t know [if he’ll play]. “
The Rockets had another game against the Boston Celtics on July 28, and then began to “seed” in the game against the Dallas Mavericks on July 31.
