Marcus Smart of the Celtics said “It takes very little’talent’ to play defense”

Boston Celtics guard Marcus Smart said: “The defense doesn’t need ‘talent’—oh, he said no one remembers the second president of the United States.

Of course, many people remember John Adams; not because of his defensive capabilities, but because of his role in building the United States.

I think Smart is implying a “win or bankrupt” mentality-but many people are quick to point out that this mentality is not equivalent to American politics.

However, all this is joking. Smart even accepted this meme through a series of user-created Photoshops.

Smart is a 2x full defensive player and is considered one of the premier perimeter defenders in the league.

At the end of the day, Smart said “John Adams will be fine. But he is still second.”
