Hawks general manager Travis Schlenk (Travis Schlenk) said that this week the NBA notified GM that they may shorten the 2020-21 schedule to keep things as close as possible to the original NBA schedule.
During a conference call with reporters, Travis informed everyone about what information the league provided.
Schlenk said on the conference call: “There are many different reasons-college season, draft picks and how all of these perform.”
“So that’s why they set a timetable. This is a very fast transition from the NBA Finals to the beginning of the season.”
Since the team will enter the playoffs this season, and may enter October, if the league resumes the game two months after December, they will undoubtedly be at a disadvantage.
Load management has become a hot topic in the entire league, and this number will only continue until next season.
The last game of a season started in December, which was a shortened 2011-12 suspension period, when the schedule was compressed from 82 games to 66 games.
