The NBA released a statement telling all 30 teams that one goal for the restart of the season is to raise awareness of social injustice.

“A central goal of our new season launch will be to use the NBA’s platform to draw attention and act sustainably to issues of social injustice, including combating systemic racism, expanding education and business opportunities across the black Community, the introduction of a meaningful reform of the police force and the criminal justice system to promote greater civic engagement, ”says the statement in part.

Avery Bradley and the coalition of players are reportedly “looking forward” to the NBA owners and sponsors’ plans of action on issues of concern to the Orlando black community.

I have a degree in journalism from the University of Maryland. I have loved basketball since I started playing at the age of 5. As I got older, the NBA and international players became my passion. Now I can write about it.
