The NBA has told its 30 teams that, according to Shams Charania, they can open practice facilities for group exercises, workouts and scrimmages with up to 10 players.

NBA players must be tested for coronavirus every day and return a negative test each time in order to participate in their off-season training sessions at team facilities, notes Adrian Wojnarowski.

The eight teams that didn’t participate in the NBA reboot in Orlando were given a two-week time slot for group activities last month.

With the 2020-2021 NBA season set to begin in either December or January, teams will be reporting to training camps soon. Therefore, the league wanted to give the teams the opportunity to have some time to practice beforehand.

It is unclear whether the league’s coronavirus protocols will remain unchanged, as anyone entering a practice facility must do a temperature check before entering the building and wear a mask when not on the field.
