Nerlens Noel von Knicks blames Rich Paul for a loss of $ 58 million in profits
Current New York Knicks center, Nerlens Noel, has sued former agent Rich Paul and his agency, Klutch Sports, for a loss of $ 58 million in potential profits SportAgentBlog.
Noel claims Paul ignored calls from multiple teams during the 2020 and 2021 offseason while responsible for missing out on the four-year $ 70 million deal the Dallas Mavericks offered him in 2017.
Noel alleges in the lawsuit that Klutch did not make him a priority as a free agent and did not respond to teams trying to sign him as a free agent. The Big Knicks fired Paul last season after signing with the Knicks.
The Kentucky product signed a $ 32 million deal with the New York Knicks this off-season after a successful 2020-21 campaign. The deal was negotiated by Noel’s new agent, George Langberg.
Paul is considered an NBA super agent representing some of the league’s top athletes including LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Trae Young, Draymond Green and Ben Simmons.
