New York Liberty rookie forward Megan Walker tested the COVID-19 virus before the team went to Florida. She is the second player on the team to produce positive results for the virus. Sophomore guard Asia Durr is recovering from the virus And will miss the 2020 season.
According to the team’s statement on Walker:
She was in a state of self-isolation under the care of the team doctor, did not go to the IMG Academy with the team, and could not join the team to participate in the training camp.
Although there are no symptoms, she strongly encourages everyone to wear masks and conduct social counseling in public to prevent the spread of the virus.
