Nikola Jokic, James Harden named Player of the Week

Denver Nuggets ‘Nikola Jokic and Brooklyn Nets’ James Harden were named NBA Players of the Week for the Western and Eastern Conference for Week 6, respectively.

This is the second straight week that Jokic has won the award, making it the first nugget to win two consecutive weeks since Carmelo Anthony in 2006.

Jokic averaged 30.8 points, 10.8 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game as the Nuggets went 3-1.

Jokic’s appearances from the week:

  • January 25: 20 points (8-13 FG, 4-4 FT), 10 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals, 1 block
  • January 27: 21 points (9-14 FG, 2-2 FT), 11 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block
  • January 29: 35 points (14-24 FG, 5-11 3P), 10 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 steal, 1 block
  • January 31: 47 points (17-26 FG, 4-4 3P, 9-10 FT), 12 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals, 1 block

Harden averaged 25.3 points, 7.3 rebounds and 11.3 assists per game as the Nets went 3-1 (0-1 without Harden).

Harden’s appearances from the week:

  • January 25: 20 points (7-10 FG, 3-5 3P, 3-5 FT), 4 rebounds, 8 assists, 1 steal, 1 block
  • January 27: 31 points (9-20 FG, 5-9 3P, 8-8 FT), 8 rebounds, 15 assists, 2 steals, 1 block
  • January 29: 25 points (9-14 FG, 3-6 3P, 4-4 FT), 10 rebounds, 11 assists, 1 block
  • January 31: DNP – thigh contusion
