Indiana Pacers star Victor Oladipo and Miami Heat have a mutual interest in each other according to to Caitlin Cooper from SB Nation and J. Michael from IndyStar. Oladipo won’t play in Orlando for the quad injury that left him pausing most of the season.
Oladipo, who did not play in Florida, added fuel to the fire of a possible deal between him and the heat. Oladipo, a potential free agent in 2021, has a big payday ahead of him as an all-star two years in a row before this season. He could potentially bring a top-notch playoff team like the Heat to a contender.
“… there’s more to it than that,” Michael said on Twitter in response to Cooper. “It’s not a big secret in basketball circles.”
If so, we may see in the future how Oladipo works with Jimmy Butler. The Indiana Pacers have already lost Paul George and got an aspiring superstar in Victor Oladipo. The reason why Oladipo doesn’t attend the Orlando games is because the Pacers want to protect their investment.
When it’s time for a free agency, the Pacers can get something in return for their budding star, or a potential trade is in the off-season.
