Phoenix Suns hopes to improve their team and add more veteran pieces around Devin Booker, DeAndre Ayton and Chris Paul.

Corresponding Shams Charania, the NBA finalists are among competing teams interested in acquiring veteran striker Thaddeus Young, who was part of the sign-and-trade that sent DeMar DeRozan from San Antonio to Chicago.

The 33-year-old Young averaged 12.1 points, 6.2 rebounds and 4.3 assists for Chicago last season and proved to be a valuable veteran on a young team.

The Spurs forward is in the final year of his deal and could be a valuable asset to San Antonio who could try to trade him during the deadline to spark a bidding war.
