Rajon Rondo reportedly wanted to return to Lakers if the Memphis Grizzlies buy him out
Rajon Rondo could be out before the Memphis Grizzlies training camp begins, and the Los Angeles Lakers are favorites to sign the Veterans Guard by Ramona Shelburne from ESPN.
Rondo spent his final season with the Atlanta Hawks and Los Angeles Clippers, having won the second career title with the Lakers in 2020.
Rondo was traded to Memphis a few weeks ago in exchange for Eric Bledsoe, who was returning to Clippers after his early years in the LA franchise.
The Lakers need a backup guard, and Rondo could be the answer to that need. Rajon Rondo is owed around $ 8 million in the 2021-22 NBA season, but a buyout will allow him to negotiate with a team he prefers.
