Scout compares Bronny James to LeBron
At the age of 15, LeBron James Jr. or simply Bronny James gets a lot more attention than his father of the same age. Of course, the game and development of the son of the Los Angeles Lakers superstar is closely followed. With LeBron’s oldest son, who is starting his second year in Sierra Canyon, ESPN’s national recruitment director Paul Biancardi shared his findings about how the father and the son compare.
Biancardi explored the three-time NBA champion when he worked as a college assistant in the state of Ohio. According to him, there are similarities between LeBron and Bronny, but they also differ in some aspects.
“They are very similar at this stage when it comes to passing. Both love to be mediators and can be influenced by their selflessness,” said Biancardi. “Bronny played at a high level and showed the same affinity to give groschen to his teammates.”
One of the main differences that Biancardi observes is the approach to the game. “A major difference in the same phase lies in their approach. LeBron would try to adopt games with an aggressive style, both within its age group and towards older players. As a freshman last season, Bronny was surrounded by older top talent and put off more – which was smart. This will of course change as he gets older, ”he said.
Only time will tell if Bronny can reach the level his father has reached. But for now, he’ll be in the spotlight.
