Sergio Rodriguez hit social media on Wednesday announcing his decision to retire from the Spanish national team.

Rodriguez posted the news through a post on Twitter and thanked everyone who was part of this 16-year journey.

Rodriguez spent 16 years in the national team and in 2005 he took part in the EuroBasket in Belgrade with Spain for the first time. His last appearance was at the Tokyo Olympics in late July.
