Signed shoes by Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson and Scottie Pippen Dream Team that are up for auction
Game-worn sneakers signed by Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson and Scottie Pippen can now be auctioned. It is the first time that a Jordan matching object from the Dream Team’s legendary gold medal campaign has been publicly offered.
The shoes, which were handed over to a Dream Team representative in the players’ dressing room, were worn during the qualifying tournament of the Tournament of Americas for the 1992 Barcelona Olympics and signed by the above legends. The shoes – size 13 Air Jordan 7s worn by MJ, size 14 Converse Cons worn by Magic and a pair of size 15 Nike Air sneakers worn by Pippen – can currently be found at the Lelands 2020 Spring Classic Auction. The bid remains open until June 19.
The starting bid for the Jordan 7s started at $ 10,000 and was $ 17,716 at the time of writing, while the other two pairs started at $ 2,500.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of these sneakers will go to COVID-19’s relief efforts.
According to a press release:
The auction also features a spectacular collection of photo, gaming equipment and rare high-end autograph cards from Jordan, Kobe Bryant and LeBron James.
