The NBA plan for the restart of the season pleases Dr. Anthony Fauci
The director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Dr. Anthony Fauci, praised the NBA for that Plan outlined it where it’s the resumption of the season.
The League Board of Governors and the NBPA have both decided to restart 22 teams in a remote location in Orlando, Florida, and set a date for July 31 for a comeback after the March term was suspended indefinitely 11.
Fauci, who was the lead voice in the US for COVID-19, spoke StadionMichael Kim this week, claiming to have looked at the NBA’s plan.
“It’s not the classic basketball season, but I think it’s a solid plan for people who crave basketball and love basketball as much as I do,” he said. “I was delighted to see that the intent was not ruthless at all. They really wanted to make sure that the safety of the players and those associated with the players was of the utmost importance.
“I think, you [other leagues] I could look at this model, see how it works, and then take it from there – maybe modifications of it for some of the other sports. “
