According to Adrian Wojnarowski, Mike D’Antoni and Ime Udoka are finalizing a deal to become Steve Nash ( Steve Nash) is the assistant coach of the Brooklyn Nets.
The 69-year-old D’Antoni attacked the 46-year-old Nash’s Phoenix Sun and attacked the mid-2000s Western Conference Finals in “seven seconds or less.”
D’Antoni also coached Nash in the Los Angeles Lakers from 2012 to 2014. This is Nash’s last two seasons in the NBA.
Dan Anthony parted ways with the Rockets after being eliminated from the playoffs this season. With a total of 672 points, he ranked 20th on the NBA head coach winning list.
Meanwhile, Udoka, now 43, spent seven years with the San Antonio Spurs accompanied by Gregg Popovich, and then joined the Philadelphia 76ers last season as Bray Supreme Assistant to Brett Brown.
In recent years, he has been a candidate for multiple positions of chief coach.
A six-time All-Star and Nash’s teammate on the Suns, Amar’e Stoudemire also agreed to an agreement to join Nash as Nash’s assistant.
The former Nets interim head coach Jacque Vaughn has already served as the Nets’ top assistant coach, so Nash has cultivated a strong workforce in his first season as the NBA head coach.
The Nets have high hopes for next season, because the return of healthy Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving will make them title contenders.
