The Phoenix Suns won a crucial street game in Chicago 129-121 in triplicate. The win reduced the Bulls’ lead in the series to 2-1.

The game was consistently tight as the star players from both teams were fantastic.

Both teams failed at the end of the regulation. At the end of the first extra time, Phoenix missed three shots that could have won the game for them. In the second overtime, Dan Majerle hit a playful shot for the Suns shortly before time ran out. He ended with 28 points. In the third extension, the suns finally pulled away from the bulls to win the road.

Charles Barkley ended with 24 points and 19 rebounds. Kevin Johnson recovered from a terrible second game and ended up with 25 points, nine assists and seven rebounds. He played 62 minutes in the game.

Michael Jordan ended with 44 points, nine rebounds and six assists for the Bulls. Scottie Pippen had 26 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists.

Phoenix’s win brought them back into the series, but the Bulls won game 4 and won the series in six games.

Jordan was named Finals MVP. In 1994, he left the NBA to play baseball.
