A Tweet from Houston Rockets General Manager, Daryl Morey Supporting the Hong Kong protests was one of the major controversies prior to the start of this season. The Chinese basketball association replied immediately by suspending collaboration with the Rockets among other promotions. Houston should lose around $ 25 million because of the actions of CBA. According to NBA commissioner Adam Silver, the League could lose up to $ 400 million because of the tweet.

Despite the impact Morey’s tweet had on the missiles, team owner Tilman Fertitta expressed his support to the general manager and said he hadn’t done anything wrong. Fertitta plans to continue working with Morey in the coming years, naming him one of the league’s best managing directors.

Per Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle::

“The tweet consisted of seven words. There was nothing wrong with the tweet. So I said to ESPN an hour later when I was asked, “Are you going to get rid of Daryl Morey?” I thought, “Are you crazy?” Why should I get rid of Daryl for this tweet? “I think Daryl is one of the best general managers in the league. We also enjoy working with each other. We plan to work with each other to this day and I expect Daryl to be here in the years to come.”

Houston is one of the twenty teams that will continue the season at Disney World in Orlando. The Rockets are currently sixth in the Western Conference with 40 wins and 24 losses. You should continue your campaign across from the Lakers.
